| Description
The Sanwa RD701 is a 4000-count, True RMS digital multimeter with high input impedance, designed for low-voltage electronics, home appliances, and communications equipment. It is an upgrade from the RD700, with the main difference being the addition of the True RMS feature. |
| Key Features
High input impedance: With an impedance of up to 1000MΩ, the RD701 is safe for testing sensitive, low-voltage circuits without interfering with or damaging them. True RMS measurement: This feature allows for accurate readings of both AC voltage and current, even when the waveform is distorted or "non-sinusoidal". Measurement functions: In addition to standard voltage (AC/DC) and current (AC/DC) measurements, the RD701 can also measure resistance, frequency, capacitance, and temperature (using an included K-type thermocouple). Accurate readings: It has a "best accuracy" of 0.3% for DC voltage and an overall 4000-count display resolution. Auto-ranging: The meter automatically selects the correct measurement range for convenience. Max value hold: Records the maximum measured value. Relative value function: Allows you to set a current reading as a reference (zero) and measure subsequent values relative to it. Auto power-off: Saves battery life by automatically shutting down after 30 minutes of inactivity. This function can be canceled. Safety features: Includes an alarm to warn against improper test lead insertion and a protective holster with a tilt stand and test lead holder. Backlit display: Improves visibility in dim lighting conditions. |
