| Description
The HT Instruments SOLAR I-Ve is a single-phase solar installation efficiency tester and I-V curve tracer for photovoltaic (PV) systems up to 1500V. It is used by technicians to verify the performance of PV modules and strings by comparing measured data to manufacturer specifications. |
| Key Features
I-V Curve Tracing: Measures the current-voltage (I-V) characteristic curve of PV modules and strings. The SOLAR I-Ve captures 128 points for the I-V curve and can measure up to 1500V/10A or 1000V/15A. Efficiency Measurement: Measures the efficiency of the single-phase PV system to ensure it's performing to standard. An optional MPP300 accessory is required for three-phase systems. Open-Circuit Voltage and Short-Circuit Current: Measures the open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current of PV modules or strings, up to 1500V and 15A, respectively. "AutoStart" Test: A feature that enables sequential I-V curve testing of strings without disconnecting cables. The test is triggered automatically when the leads touch the positive and negative terminals. Data Logging: Uses the companion SOLAR02 remote unit to acquire simultaneous data on solar irradiation and temperature. The SOLAR I-Ve and SOLAR02 synchronize wirelessly via RF communication. Module Database: Contains an internal database of 30,000 PV modules that can be updated. This allows for immediate performance evaluation by comparing measured results to manufacturer specifications |
