The QUICKLAN 6055 is a handheld LAN wire mapper manufactured by HT Instruments. It is an easy-to-use device for fast and accurate preliminary checks of twisted-pair LAN cables with RJ45 connectors. The tester is designed for use by installers and network professionals for basic verification of LAN installations. |
| Key Features
Cable compatibility: Works with both unshielded (UTP) and shielded (STP, FTP, SSTP, SFTP) twisted-pair cables, covering categories from CAT3 up to CAT7. Wire mapping: Detects and displays common wiring errors on a digital screen. Shielding test: When the STP mode is selected, the device also checks for continuity and proper connection of the cable's shield. Remote units: The unit can use up to eight optional remote control units to identify connections at different spots, such as between wall jacks and a patch panel. |
