| Description
The HT Instruments MACROTESTG3 is a multi-function electrical safety tester, but it does not have a built-in HiPot testing function. A Hipot test is a high-potential test that applies a much higher voltage than the insulation rating to check for breakdown. The MACROTESTG3 performs insulation resistance tests, which apply up to 1000V DC, not the higher voltages required for a true HiPot test. |
| Key Features
Continuity: Test of protective conductors with 200mA. Insulation resistance: Tests with 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, and 1000V DC. Earth resistance: Using voltammetric (2- or 3-pole) and clamp methods. It also measures soil resistivity. RCD (Residual Current Device) testing: For types A, AC, B, B+, and F, including general, selective, and delayed up to 1A. Loop/fault impedance: Measures impedance to calculate prospective short-circuit current. A high-resolution version is possible with the optional IMP57 accessory. Electrical parameter analysis: Measures voltage (V), current (A), power (W, VAR, VA), power factor (PF), and harmonics. Phase sequence indication: Checks the sequence of phases. Leakage current:Measures with the optional HT96U clamp. Environmental parameters: Measures temperature, humidity, and illuminance with optional external probes. |
